When I install AZCI.net
Broadband, will AZCI.net
provide all of my ISP
services?
That's correct!
AZCI.net is a full
service ISP. We
provide your email, web and
domain hosting, broadband
bandwidth and Hi Speed
access! Most
importantly, we provide you
with toll free 24 x 7 x 365
support!
|

What about my Email Address?
Will they be the same on
AZCI.net dialup and AZCI.net
Broadband?
Absolutely! One set of
email addresses. Two
modes of access (Fixed
Wireless Broadband and
Nationwide Dial-up)
|

How does AZCI.net connect to
my computer?
AZCI.net
installs a small antenna on
the roof or sidewall of your
home or office. We run
a CAT 5 cable from the
antenna through a 3/8" hole
that we drill through the
wall of your building (and
seal afterwards) into the
room where your computer is
located. Our cable
attaches to the LAN
(Ethernet) port in your
computer. If your computer
does not have a LAN port, we
can add one for you for the
nominal price of $39.95
parts and labor included
|

What if I have more than one
computer?
If you have more than one
computer, you will need a
router to divide the
Internet connection that we
provide you and share it
with all of your computers.
There are two types of
routers; One is a wired
router used to connect
multiple computers with
Ethernet cables; and the
other is a wireless router
which can connect up to four
computers with Ethernet
cables and up to 249
computers with wireless
network adapters. USB
Wireless network adapters
are the easiest to install
and work with desktops,
towers and laptops. We
currently recommend the
Dlink Wireless G family of
routers and the Dlink
Wireless G family of USB
Network Adapters. For
most installations, the
lowest priced router model,
WBR-1310 is sufficient.
But, if you have to
penetrate more than 4 sheets
of sheetrock, from your
router to computer, you
should consider the Dlink
Wireless N family of routers
and USB Network adapters.
Once you have the equipment,
you can call us to install
it all for a nominal $30.00. |

What should I do if my
Internet connection
stops working?
In southern Arizona, our
electricity often
"bumps" and has transient
spikes. These power
fluctuations can sometimes
"confuse" power supplies in
your computer, routers and
our antenna. The first
"self help" drill that you
can perform is to 1) Shut
off your computer; 2) Remove
the power cord from your
router for 10 seconds and
then plug it back in; 3)
Remove the power cord
feeding our power supply
(Black 4" x 2" x 1" with
label 48V on it) for 10
seconds then plug it back
in. Wait 60 seconds. Power
up your computer and then
try your Internet
connection. If you are still
experiencing trouble call
our support line at
1-866-701-FAST (3278). |

Can I "game" on AZCI.net
broadband?
You bet! Our latency
is less than 30ms end to end
and back. Combined
with our fast up and down speeds, you've got a
world-class gaming platform!
|

Can I use Peer to Peer and
File Sharing on AZCI.net?
Peer to Peer and File
Sharing turn your computer
into a server, from which
hundreds of people out on
the Internet can upload.
AZCI.net
does not permit servers
on our wireless connections
because excessive uploading
by untold numbers of
non-AZCI.net subscribers
around the world causes
excessive traffic on our
network which reduces the
performance that our loyal
paying subscribers
receive. You may download
files as you see fit, but
you may not enable file
uploading from your
computer, which turns your
computer into a server. For
information call
866-701-FAST(3278).

Can I mount an antenna even
if my landlord tells me I
can't?
Your landlord or
HOA is telling you that you
can't mount our
antenna?...Not so
fast, Abernathy...Read On!
FCC Rules
The FCC has passed rules
that grant tenants and home
owners certain rights that
permit them to mount
wireless antennae to send
and receive wireless
communication. You can
download the entire rule by
clicking
HERE!
But, in a nutshell,
here are the rules:
- If you are a
single family homeowner, you can mount the
antenna on you home anywhere you wish. HOA,
local, County and State regulations to the
contrary are prohibited.
- If you are a
tenant in an apartment or a resident in a
condominium, you are permitted to mount the
antennae on any privately owned space or
common area to which you have exclusive
access. So, the wall on your deck works, for
instance. You must submit the permission
forms that your landlord or HOA demands for
such matters and they must approve your
request.
But, don't rely
on this excerpt. Download the rules and read
them for yourself. Then, place your order for
AZCI.net Broadband service!

How can I connect to
AZCI.net Hi Speed Nationwide
dial-up without the AZCI.net
dialer?
To connect to AZCI.net
without the dialer software,
use a manual dialup
connectoid as prior to
AZCI.net. To create a manual
dialup connectoid has
different steps based on the
version of Windows you are
using. AZCI.net does not
support Macintoshes. For
Windows 95 and 98, from your
desktop icons, Open My
Computer > Dialup Networking
> Make New Connection Follow
the wizard to make a new
connection. Enter a dialup
access number. For example,
a Casa Grande access number
is 413-4000, or see
http://my.azci.net/ .
When done with the wizard,
click "Finish". Contact
AZCI.net technical support
at 866-208-0850 for other
access numbers.
Next, right-click the
connection, choose
Properties, choose the
Servers tab, and uncheck all
boxes EXCEPT keep checked:
'Enable software
compression' and 'TCP/IP'.
Click OK, OK. For Windows ME
/ 2000: Click Start,
Settings, Network and Dialup
Connections, then 'Make New
Connection', and follow the
wizard as above. For Windows
XP: Click Start > Settings >
Control Panel > choose
Network and Internet
Connections > open lowest
icon for Network
connections. Click 'Create a
New Connection'. Choose
dialup, then set up my
connection manually, then
dial with a phone line or
modem, then continue with
the wizard.
