What is FibAire Optic Ultra Fast Broadband Service?
FibAire Broadband is Fiber Optic Cable based Internet service extended to your home by Ultra High Performance Wireless Radios!  The Fiber Optic Cable supports speeds up to 540megabits IN and Out with latency under 2ms and is called an OC-12 (Optical Channel - 12 x 45megabits).  AZCI.net has recently installed this service which connects our high speed broadband network directly to Phoenix, AZ where we join a transcontinental Fiber Optic network, thus, bypassing most of the Arizona and Western US traffic and avoiding most traffic jams.  FibAire boasts several attributes of extreme importance to consumers:

• Latency virtually disappears - Latency is the delay inherent in a network caused by the processing overhead of the network equipment that transports your data.  Fiber Optic Network equipment is far more efficient that older copper wire based equipment and  the fiber itself is more efficient because it transports data as light waves traveling, yup, you guessed it, at the speed of light.
• Over Commitment of resources is eliminated - ISPs are bandwidth wholesalers - they buy bandwidth in bulk and break it down into smaller quantities and resell bandwidth to consumers - As customer count increases, the demand on the ISPs upstream bandwidth increases. With FibAire Optic Broadband Internet service, the task of increasing available bandwidth becomes as simple as making a phone call.  AZCI.net and it's provider, Qwest Communications Corp., decided to install enough Fiber Optic Capacity to power more than 500,000 subscribers without new construction!  We think that capacity will certainly suffice for the foreseeable future!
• Reliability - When we experience our monsoonal power failures each year, we all say "ugh!" and hope that the failure will be short. Well, our new FibAire Optic equipment is powered by a 48 Volt DC Battery backed up power plant, designed to keep on going well after a power failure.
• Raw Speed - customers can purchase up to 15mbps IN and OUT...Bottom Line - Fiber delivers the fastest bandwidth...no buts or b's about it!

How fast will my existing AZCI.net Internet connection become?
The speed and symmetry of all existing AZCI.net Internet connections will be improved with NO CHANGE IN MONTHLY FEEs.

• Gold will become 4mbps IN / 2mbps OUT;
